Book Synopsis
This teaching is based on the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15: 11-32).
Using the parable as a model, participants first examine: where they are (and how they got there), then they identify things they need to do personally in order to arise and walk in their calling. Symbolisms examined throughout this teaching are: the “house” = Heaven; the “field” = the church; and the “far country” = the world. Three types of sons are represented and assessed in text: the father, the prodigal, and, the older brother. All 3 sons had ‘voids’ to fill, all had to ‘arise’, yet only two would likely have heard “well done”. By the end of the resource participants have a better idea of ‘which son they really are’ and are given strategies to arise regardless of their current state.
